Have a question? Pop it into our ask!
Why anonymous?
Because an anonymous medium of this type just does not yet exist and it should. There is a lot to be said about otherkin, but sometimes we feel anxiety sharing because our ideas might ‘cross the line’ or reflect poorly on us. Anonymity gives us the opportunity for something of a dialogue (though not a perfect one) to express these thoughts.
What can I submit?
Anything! Stories, quotes, ideas, posts you would not share on a forum, rants, experiences. Absolutely anything, and to any audience. We’re not over worried about context, but you may provide some if you like.
I’m not an otherkin, can I submit something?
Yes. Definitely. If you are not otherkin-identified but have thoughts about the subject, you are welcome to share those here. Keep in mind that blatant trolling and hate will not be posted unless it fosters discussion or contains an idea we feel worth sharing. If you would like to troll, better not to waste your time because it’s no skin off our back. (You may, however, voice strong opinions through submissions and through our ask; we feel there is a difference between trolling and disagreement.)
Why wasn’t my submission posted?
There are a number of reasons a submission might not be shared on site. The most likely is that it was malicious or blatantly hateful towards otherkin. The second most likely is that we felt the submission off-topic. Third, we have mixed feelings about sharing content which may or may not be harmful and will post that at our discretion. Finally, there might have been a glitch! If you have a question about why something isn’t up, shoot an anonymous ask (or other) and we’ll let you know.
What are otherkin?
Otherkin are people who feel they are other-than-human, for a variety of reasons. On the whole, they can be said to identify as non-human. For more information, check out our resources page. For the record, most otherkin recognize that they have human bodies while in this world.
